On Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 9:00AM Yarmouth Police Chief Frank G. Fredrickson will be available to meet with all members of the media in the LawEnforcementTrainingCenter at Yarmouth Police Headquarters. Members of the Yarmouth Police Department will offer a brief presentation of policing in Yarmouth, as well as updates in the following three areas of local and regional concern:
- Police Training
- Police Media Relations
- OUI Enforcement and Refusal Evidence
We will also present a short less lethal use of force demonstration, and will take questions from the media.
Keeping our citizens informed is vital to effective Community Policing and effectual Media Relations is a valuable resource. This meeting—held as part of our Strategic Community Policing Plan to prevent crime and educate and inform the citizens and visitors of Yarmouth—is designed to foster cooperation and mutual respect between Law Enforcement and the news media. All members of the news media are encouraged to attend.
