On Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 2PM Yarmouth Police Patrol Officer Cheryl Nugent Gomsey responded to a local restaurant for a report of a man choking. Upon her arrival she found that John Ramzello of Connecticut had performed emergency first aid on a New York man who was choking on a a piece of steak which successfully dislodged the blockage and helped saved his life.
The men and women of the Yarmouth Police Department and Town Officials commend Mr. Ramzello and urge everyone to take a First Aid/CPR Course by contacting the American Heart Association, the Yarmouth Fire Department, or the Cape and Islands Chapter of the American Red Cross. Great job Mr. Ramzello!
