missingThirty members of the Yarmouth Police Department are taking part in a very important training program offered through the Massachusetts State 911 Department.  Officers and Civilian staff are attending an intensive eight hour training program designed to assist them with handling calls involving missing, endangered or exploited children.  The training covers steps that should be taken from the initial call through the investigation which are critical for the safe recovery of a child who has been reported missing or abducted.  As part of the training resource information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is provided along with other important safety information.  In Massachusetts, there are currently over fifty-five children listed as missing or endangered and hundreds more nationwide.
