Since the start of the pandemic, Yarmouth Police Department has seen an increase in domestic violence related calls for service.   A comparison of the same time frame of March through April in 2019 vs. 2020 has shown an increase of 27% in domestic violence incidents.  Additionally, there has been 9% increase in arrests as a result of the calls.
