This award has been established for law enforcement personnel and recognizes an 
officer or team of officers who through direct medical intervention or other measures is/are responsible for saving a life.
Action includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Heimlich maneuver, or other actions taken for the preservation of life.
Recipients of this award will receive a written citation and a uniform ribbon. (Red/White Ribbon)
