Yarmouth Police Dept.

It is with dissapointment that we announce a SCAM claiming to solicit money related to the death of K9 Sgt. Sean Gannon.

Barnstable Police has received several calls stating they are raising money for the "Sean Gannon Fund". This is a SCAM. The phone numbers used so far are: 508-418-0669, 508-418-0431, and 508-418-0979. There are NO ACTIVE PHONE SOLICITATIONS being conducted to raise money.

The Go Fund Me by Beth Ambrosini IS legitimate.

Anyone wishing to donate may do so through the Yarmouth Police Foundation. We will accept in-person donations at Yarmouth Police Headquarters, or visit the Yarmouth Police Foundations website for mail and online donations: www.yarmouthpolicefoundation.org/donate/

UPDATE:
This post is meant address the obvious phone solicitation scam that is occurring. At this time the Yarmouth Police Department has no reason to believe that legitimate businesses will not donate money that have collected from customers.

Yarmouth Police Dept.

Love permeated the air at Flower Angels today as 40 of our ‚ÄúAngels‚ÄĚ deconstructed and arranged the magnificent bouquets of love made with flowers donated from Sgt. Gannon‚Äôs wife and family. When the YPD pulled up with 3 giant truck loads of flowers that were left on Sgt. Gannon‚Äôs K9 police car, we were moved to tears for this special honor. Beautiful bouquets were delivered to the 18 police stations on the Cape and to many nursing home in memory of Sgt. Gannon.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Dara, and family and to the wonderful policeman who protect us every day.
